Working with the Angels
There are a few things to know when working with your Angels.. First, there are two schools of thought when it comes to Angelic beings. Some believe that Angels were never human and never will be, they are a different species. They were made by God to help and assist human beings. There is another school of thought that says that there are humans on this plane that are from the Angelic realm, and that former humans on the Other Side can become angels that watch over and help us. Whichever school of thought you subscribe to, there are some basic things to know. Angels cannot help us unless we ask. Humans have Free Will and Angels cannot interfere with free will or change our Karma. We have to ask them to intervene, much like we would ask a Saint or Ascended Master to intervene on our behalf. When we ask the Angels for help, the answers are often swift and immediate. Make sure your mind is clear or you are in a meditative state when asking, because the answers often come that quickly! Be prepared to follow their guidance. When you ask for help, make sure you ask clearly and understand what you are asking for. Sometimes their guidance is in the form of an unexpected blessing or new person that comes into your life. The main Archangels and their characteristics: Sandalphon- music, babies Metatron- sacred geometry, children Michael- cuts cords, protector Raphael- healer Gabriel- messenger Uriel- ideas and inspiration Raguel- truth, justice, and fairness Chamuel- soulmate, love Ariel- courage, lioness Zadkiel- freedom, benevolence, mercy Azrael- counselor for grieving Jophiel- art and beauty Raziel- high level esoterics, increase abilities Jeremiel- life review, past life Haniel- intuition, clairvoyance Any of these Angels can come through and work with you. Archangel Azrael is also known as the Angel of Death, but escorting souls to the Other Side is not his only function. He also counsels the grieving and helps us to end relationships that no longer serve us. Sandalphon and Metatron are the only angels that were humans in life, Elijah and Enoch. According to Doreen Virtue, God gave them immortal assignments as Archangels to reward them for their good work on Earth. Ariel and Haniel are the only female Angels. Gabriel is depicted as a female in certain traditions, but is usually known as a male Angel. Uriel is around when you have inspiration or ideas that pop into your head. Raphael is the jolliest of the Angels, loves to play and tell jokes. Metatron is the biggest Angel, he is the size of a sequoia tree. Michael is recognized as the Archangel that protects us from the snares of the devil and who cuts cords with his huge sword. This is consistent across several religious practices. Gabriel brought the message of Jesus' coming to Mary and is generally recognized as the Archangel of communication. You can ask him for a Divine filter when speaking to others if you want to say the right words, or to help with translation or channelled writing. The church recognized most of the Archangels listed and decommissioned some of them over the years. The ones listed are generally recognized in Metaphysics as the Angels that assist humans most often. A good reference for more information is Doreen Virtue's book, Archangels and Ascended Masters.
