When I started practicing Healing Touch in 2010, I needed guidance. I had already had a successful doula business in other states, but wanted to move on something new. We moved to Orlando in June of 2010 and my business was born.
Being in a new space with new people helped me to reinvent myself and what I wanted to do. I had always wanted to do spiritual healing, but I needed help getting it going. The networks I had in New Orleans and Iowa through La Leche League were here, but were not quite the right fit for my new calling.
I met Stormy Lake at the Herb Shoppe, and she agreed to help me. We both wanted more spiritual healers in Orlando. She sat me down and taught me about marketing, SEO, and how she started her business.
When I began working at Plant Street Wellness Center, networking was the first thing suggested to me. I thought this might be silly, but I was surprised at how many other spiritual healers I met in my networking groups. I even found a group only for spiritual practitioners.
As my network grew, I met business owners, clients, and students with unique gifts and abilities who I could refer people to when needed. They have also referred people to me. Some of the women (and men) listed here have been my teachers, clients, and students, and some of them I have vetted myself.
I firmly believe in referrals. When a client has a need that I can’t fill, I send them to one of my friends. Everyone on this list has something wonderful to offer, and another practitioner may be just what my potential client needs if I am not a good fit for them, or if one of my current clients or students needs more support.
